பிரித்தானிய, பிரான்ஸ் மற்றும் சுவீடன் நாட்டு வெளிவிவகார அமைச்சர்கள் இலங்கைக்கு விஜயம் மேற்கொள்ளவுள்ளனர். விடுதலைப் புலிகளின் ஒருதலைப்பட்ச போர்நிறுத்த அறிவிப்பை இலங்கை அரசாங்கம் நிராகரித்துள்ள நிலையில் இவர்கள் இலங்கை வரப்போவதாக அறிவித்துள்ளனர். “பிரித்தானிய வெளிவிவகாரச் செயலாளர் டேவிட் மிலிபான்ட்இ பிரான்ஸ் வெளிவிவகார அமைச்சர் பேர்னாட் கவுச்னர்இ சுவீடன் வெளிவிவகார அமைச்சர் கார்ல் பில்ட் எதிர்வரும் புதன்கிழமை இலங்கை வரவுள்ளனர்” என பிரித்தானிய அறிவித்துள்ளது. நேற்று இலங்கை ஜனாதிபதி மஹிந்த ராஜபக்ஷவைத் தொலைபேசிமூலம் தொடர்புகொண்ட பிரித்தானிய வெளிவிவகாரச் செயலாளர் டேவிட் மிலிபான்ட்இ மோதல் பகுதிகளில் சிக்குண்டிருக்கும் மக்கள் குறித்து ஆழ்ந்த கவலையை வெளிப்படுத்தியிருந்தார். “மோதல்கள் நிறுத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என அவர் மீண்டும் கோரிக்கை விடுத்ததுடன் இடம்பெயர்ந்த மக்களின் மனிதநேயத் தேவைகளை நிறைவேற்ற 2.5 மில்லியன் ஸ்ரேலிங் பவுன்ஸ் ஒதுங்கியிருப்பதாகவும் கூறினார்” என பிரித்தானியா வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதேநேரம் ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் மனிதநேய விவகாரங்களுக்கான செயலாளர் நாயகம் பான்கீ மூனின் இலங்கை விஜயத்தை வரவேற்பதாக பிரித்தானியப் பிரதமர் கோர்டன் பிரவுணின் அலுவலகம் அறிவித்துள்ளது. இதேவேளை விடுதலைப் புலிகளின் ஒருதலைப்பட்ச போர்நிறுத்த அறிவிப்பை இலங்கை அரசாங்கம் நிராகரித்திருப்பதுடன் போர்நிறுத்தம் செய்யவேண்டிய அவசியம் ஏற்படவில்லையெனக் கூறியுள்ளது.

French President D’Estaing provided a loan of one million pounds for that monster to buy limousines and motorcycles for his ‘coronation’ and shamelessly received blood diamonds as gifts. Bokassa had the habit of showering diamonds on his special guests and organising safaris for them. Finally, France had to get rid of him, when he became too embarrassing to protect. Britain shielded Pinochet responsible for crimes against humanity and harboured him in spite of a court order to deport him to stand trial for massacres. His Caravan of Death churned out death and devastation across Chile following the 1973 coup but Britain backed him to the hilt for his services during the Falklands war!
